Supplies needed to make a DIY magnolia garland:

Wait, did I just tell you to BUY magnolia garlands in order to make one? Yes, I did! These make a great base but definitely need some sprucing up to make them something extra special for your big day.

How to Make a Garland from Faux Magnolias

You can make this garland permanent by adding hot glue or you can just stuff the leaves into the flowers for a temporary decor piece. The temporary option works great for weddings as you can use the pieces in your home afterward. The method you use for construction is completely up to you and I will cover both below.

  • magnolia garlands
  • magnolia leaves

Instructions

  • Intertwine all three of the magnolia garlands together. Just wrap them around one another until you have one really full garland.

  • Start adding in leaves to cover any empty areas. You can also use these to cover up the stems on the garlands themselves. Add as many or as few leaves as you like. You can hot glue these into place for a more permanent solution. Just tucking them into place works great if you are assembling this right on the wedding table.

DIY Wedding Table

To complete the look on a wedding table, you will need a few other supplies. Pick up a burlap table runner like the one shown if you are having a more rustic look for your big day. You can dress this up a bit with a more formal table runner in the wedding colors if you like.

You can also add those bride and groom signs to the chairs at the table. I picked these up here but you can also make a similar set. In fact, I have a DIY bride and groom signs here that you may like as well.
